If you’ve been around here long, you’ll know I love a classic clog. They’re timeless, versatile, comfy (if you find the right ones) and add the perfect dose of delight to a spring and summer closet. Plus, I’m part Dutch so an affinity for clogs is just in my DNA.
If you’re a clog fan too, read on for:
My thoughts on why The East Coast Clog is particularly special.
How they fit and what size to get.
4 ways I’ve styled them with some of my spring staples!

A FEW DETAILS I LOVE ABOUT THE EAST COAST CLOG:
1 / Square toe shape is current and unique. I think this design detail really elevates these clogs.
2 / Cushioned footbed makes them incredibly comfy, right out of the box. No hard wooden bases here!
3 / The buckle is attached by a hidden elastic that lets the strap move with your foot.
4 / Heel height is the perfect balance of style and function. The 3 inch heel with a 1 inch platform makes it feel like a 2 inch heel.
5 / Grippy soles offer peace of mind on any surface.
6 / The Biscotti colour way is the perfect smoky taupe, a neutral that goes with everything.

FIT NOTES ON THE EAST COAST CLOG:
SIZING: I went with my usual size 7 and would say the fit is true to size with a medium width. I have a narrow instep and there is some room in the toe box for sure, which I think will be a good thing in warmer weather.
I sometimes wear a 7.5 and I’m glad I went with the size down. If you vary between sizes I’d recommend taking the smaller of the two, which is what the product page suggests too. Plus, these clogs are available in half sizes and Poppy Barley is super helpful with sizing!
ADJUSTABLE STRAP: The ankle strap on these is so comfortable and easy to adjust for the perfect fit so your foot feels secure.
SOFT LEATHER: The leather used on these is so soft and smooth on the skin. Not hard or sharp around the edges. It’s also chrome-free with a vegetable-tanned lining.
LIGHTWEIGHT: Clogs can be clunky and heavy for sure, but not these! The wood platform sole is lightweight and made from forest stewardship council-certified pine. They’ve also been sealed so they won’t get stained or marked easily.
