With Valentine’s Day approaching I thought it could be fun to share a roundup of date night-ready outfits I’ve created over the years. As I was going through the archives I noticed that all these looks fall into one of three main themes, which are:
- AN OVERSIZED BLAZER
- SOMETHING SILK
- AN ELEMENT OF VOLUME
The main through-line in my date night style is elevated ease because to me comfort = confidence.
Whether you’ve got a date planned with a partner, a good friend, or perhaps your #1 self, I hope this post inspires some new ideas and gets you excited for the warmer weather ahead! Consider this a bit of spring style inspiration with a healthy dose of the more feminine side of my personal style.

First up is a failsafe combo – jeans and a blazer. A pair of jeans that you feel great in with a slinky black top, oversized blazer, and cute heels is just never going to do you wrong!

Same, same, but different. Doubling down on black with a black tee and black blazer (could be any colour really) has a major impact on this simple look. Looser fitting jeans feel current and casual at the same time.

SOMETHING SILK

This outfit straddles a couple of themes since there’s a blazer but since the entire base is silk, it’s going in this bank. Don’t underestimate the power of movement in an outfit. Silk is so alluring because it hints at the frame beneath without needing to be revealing or tight at all.
