As many of us have discovered over the last year and a half, not all loungewear is created equal. It’s actually pretty hard to come by sets that are super comfy, high-quality, easy-to-maintain and look good enough to wear out and about. That’s where Colorful Standard comes in, offering a lean but comprehensive collection of classic staples, made from 100% GOTS organic cotton, in gender-free fits, and no less than 45 different colours.

ABOUT THIS SET
THE CLASSIC ORGANIC HOODIE + ORGANIC SWEATPANTS
I’ve been wearing this set most mornings since it arrived in August. I pull it on over my sleepwear (I snooze in a tank and undies usually) to take Dobby out, enjoy my morning coffee on the dock and walk around Steep Hill. It’s so comfortable and cozy enough to cut the chill in the air. It’s also great for travel days and evenings by the fire with cottage visitors.
During the weeks I was wear testing this set, I washed and dried both items several times. The brand’s claims that they don’t shrink and the colour doesn’t fade, are holding up so far!
Here’s a few details that I love
COFFEE BROWN COLOUR
I chose the Coffee Brown as an alternative to black and love that it’s resilient enough to hide any dirt, drips or muddy paw prints.
I also love Dusty Olive and Warm Taupe but my size was sold out at the time.
METAL GROMETS & ANGELTS
This design choice is small but the impact is major. Gromets on the drawstring holes and anglets on the strings mean that both elements will last way longer. I also think these details give the pieces an elevated look and feel.
CLASSIC FIT
In gender-free sizing the brand suggests that women size down but since I sometimes go for a medium, I opted for my usual Small in both the hoodie and bottoms.
I’m super happy with the fit of this set. It’s relaxed and a little oversized, but not too bulky. Plus, the organic cotton drapes so nicely.

QUALITY YOU CAN FEEL
A smooth, densely knit exterior looks amazing and the soft brushed interior feels great on the skin. Sturdy seams, deep pockets, thick ribbed cuffs, and a double-lined hood give the garments a luxurious feel overall.
You can tell these will actually last through many washes and wears.
