LOOK 1

I’ve been seeing the fashion girlies wearing a trench over their denim jackets a lot this season and had to give the trend a go myself!

To keep it from feeling too busy I went with a white tee and sneakers, kept the denim tones the same (vintage mid wash) and paired my light trench with a similarly light toned bag. I’m actually really into this look and it gives some older, more classic pieces in my closet a fresh new feel!

In this case, I’ve layered it over a maxi linen dress with the cuffs rolled back to expose the sleeves of the dress. Then I layered on a cozy scarf, chunky boots for trodding through melting snow and a black bag to balance the boots and pick up on the black thread in the plaid linen.

My take on the quintessential Canadian tuxedo!

I had to give this one a try after I found my very old chambray shirt in storage. Since it’s a similar wash to my mid blue jacket, I decided to pair those with a darker wash jean. To ease the palette slightly I grabbed my black and canvas high tops and paired the cream tones with my tote.

I’ve always found it a little tricky to style a long dress in a more casual way but one formula I keep coming back to is to simply add a denim jacket and a pair of sneakers. By adding two laid-back elements, a long dress feels a lot more easy-going.

In this case I added a canvas tote too and I love this outfit for a spring day.

Just a classic spring outfit for a classic spring day! It’s one of those don’t fix it if it ain’t broke combinations that never fails. I like to keep a classic outfit like this one fresh with contemporary fits, for example, an oversized jacket and straight leg jeans.

Here’s a denim jacket styling idea for when it’s still a bit cold out. I layered it over a wool sweater with a big cashmere scarf on top. Black skinny jeans and chunky suede boots make this look perfect for a chilly morning dog walk.
