THE FRIEND IN WAYWARD FIT
WHY I LIKE THIS PIECE
The Friend in Wayward Fit is the style I’ve had in my closet the longest and the one that first attracted me to Power of My People back in 2017. I love The Friend Shirt for these reasons:
OVERSIZED FIT
I have an XS, which offers a relaxed fit. If I was ordering today I’d go for a Small for even more room.
LARGE FRONT POCKETS
These are a unique and playful detail on an otherwise more classic style.
100% LINEN
This is my go-to top for summer and hot destinations. It’s light, airy & only gets softer with use.
CURVED HEM
This shape is great for tucking, tying into a knot or wearing open.
HOW I’M STYLING IT CURRENTLY
I love wearing this one fully tucked or front knotted with trousers, a cross body bag and a pair of sandals. If it’s still chilly out I’ll add a trench coat and swap the sandals for sneakers.

THE PHILOSOPHER IN WAYWARD FIT
WHY I LIKE THIS PIECE
I bought my Philosopher Shirt soon after trying out The Friend (shown above) because I cannot help myself when I love a good staple, I MUST have it in both black and white. I love the Philosopher for the same reasons as The Friend, but it’s also very forgiving when it comes to marks and stains and to be honest, a black short sleeve button up just isn’t something you see everyday!
I should also note that while I have had this fore many years now and it has been through many a wash, the black is still deep and rich. There is some fading on the seams but overall I’m happy with how well its held the colour.
HOW I’M STYLING IT CURRENTLY
I’m often drawn to bolder styling ideas with The Philosopher and decided to give it a go with my widest leg denim and black accessories. It feels a bit fun and different from my usual styling and I really like the way this shirt front tucks into a high rise jeans.

THE WHITE PINNACLE TEE
WHY I LIKE THIS PIECE
I’m going to make a bold claim here folks, and that is if I could only have one white t-shirt in my closet forever, The Pinnacle Tee would be the one! What can I say, it’s true to its name and I haven’t experienced a better basic white tee. Here’s why:
REFINED FIT
The fit on this piece is elevated and clean while still relaxed and effortless. I love how the shoulders and sleeves land on my frame and the straight shape through the torso.
HIGH OPACITY
I wear a nude bra under my white Pinnacle with no concern for any show through.
PERFECT LENGTH
Perfect for tucking in or wearing loose. Not too long or too cropped. Exact length by size available on the product page.
SMOOTH TEXTURE
The photo below shows how smooth this dense organic cotton jersey is even after air drying! If you want it to be satin smooth a quick steam would do it. It also feels incredibly soft on the skin and is perfect for hot and cool weather alike.
HOW I’M STYLING IT CURRENTLY
I am completely obsessed with a t-shirts and trousers this spring. I love the contrast of an undeniably casual style with a more tailored classic. The Pinnacle Tee is elevated enough that under a blazer or a cardigan it is totally passable for a more corporate work environment.

THE BLACK PINNACLE TEE
WHY I LIKE THIS PIECE
It will be no surprise that I love the Black Pinnacle Tee for the same reasons as the White Pinnacle Tee. The fit, feel and functionality are all equally on point. Similar to my note on The Philosopher Wayward Fit the black version of the Pinnacle is more forgiving when it comes to marks and stains and it has held its colour very well through many washes.
HOW I’M STYLING IT CURRENTLY
Since I got these olive green trousers I’ve been pairing them with every black staple in my closet and I absolutely love them with my black Pinnacle Tee. I gave the sleeves a roll, slid into my favourite flip flops and grabbed a cute little bag for a mix of olive tones and deep black. Lots of gold touches and elevated textures like smooth cotton, soft suede and drapey twill give this laid-back look a note of quiet luxury.

THE TAILOR PROPER FIT
WHY I LIKE THIS PIECE
A crisp white button up shirt has a longstanding spot on just about every short list of closet essentials.
TRUE BRIGHT WHITE
By this I mean it doesn’t lean warm or cool but is instead a true fresh neutral white.
MINIMAL DETAILING
The seamless front placket and buttonless collar keep this shirt intentionally sleek.
CRISP YET SOFT HAND FEEL
This piece is made of 4.4 oz 100% Cotton, which gives it high opacity with a crisp shape and yet still a lot of softness.
LONG CURVED BACK HEM
The longer back hem falls just below my butt, which I love when wearing loose or front tucked.
HOW I’M STYLING IT CURRENTLY
I love all the different materials we get to mix in spring and a medley of crisp cotton with supple silk and soft cashmere is such a delight. Right now I’m wearing The Tailor Proper Fit shirt half tucked into my wide leg silk pants with a cashmere crewneck thrown over my shoulders, a tonal leather bag and a pair of chunky slides to give the classic elements a contemporary nudge.

THE PHILOSOPHER PROPER FIT
WHY I LIKE THIS PIECE
The Philosopher Proper Fit is the newest Evergreen style in my collection and I cannot wait to break this beautiful long sleeve black linen in this spring and summer. I wear my Philosopher Wayward Fit (short sleeve, double chest pockets) all the time in the warmer weather so I know this one will be in heavy rotation too. I love a long sleeve to give my arms a bit of sun protection and opted for a size up from my usual for lots of room through the shoulders and torso.
HOW I’M STYLING IT CURRENTLY
I’ll be styling this one open over a swimsuit or sports bra with all my linen pants this summer. I love a tonal moment with a black crop underneath this black shirt with a hit of contrast against white pants and some deep brown accents.
Of course, this colour palette was inspired by my bestie, Genie.
